As in J. pilosa , the pistillate synflorescence exhibits two types of trophotagma enrichment axes. The tea1 originate in 2 to 4 distal leaves and the tea 2 in leaves of the medial portion of the long internode zone ( Fig. 2A, B View FIGURE 2 ). The staminate synflorescence shows enrichment axes similar to those registered for J. pilosa and they are placed in the 1 to 2 distal leaves ( Fig. 2C, D View FIGURE 2 ). These enrichment axes rarely produce more branches.
