Diagnosis. This species is separated from other species of the ornata group by having the aedeagus with 1 hooklike process subapically ( Fig. 32 View FIGURE 32 D), the paramere short and broadened, nearly rectangular ( Fig. 32 View FIGURE 32 C).

Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 2–5 setae above ocellar setae. Frons brown. Pedicel yellow; first flagellomere brown. Clypeus dark brown. Mesonotum yellowish brown ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 G). Postpronotal lobe brownish yellow. Acrostichal setulae in ca. 12–15 irregular rows ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 G). Scutellum dark brown, pale at tip ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 G).

Katepisternum yellow, slightly bring brownish ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 H). Meron yellow ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 H). Wing ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 I): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 6–8 peg-like spinules on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites brown to dark brown ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 K); second yellow medially, with 1 yellow patch laterally; third with a pair of narrow, yellow patches anteriorly; fourth sometimes with a pair of small yellow patches anteriorly; sixth yellow posteriorly. Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 14 setae near posterior margin and ventral corner per side ( Fig. 32 View FIGURE 32 A). Hypandrium with 1 small sensillum ( Fig. 32 View FIGURE 32 B). Paramere with pubescence, lacking sensillum ( Fig. 32 View FIGURE 32 C). Aedeagus reticulated, with a small projection medioventrally ( Fig. 32 View FIGURE 32 D).
