10. Limonium chersonesum View in CoL group.―The plants in this group of species are green to grey-green (rarely glaucous) with verrucate surfaces. Their stems are flexuous, often proliferating at the nodes and typically with few sterile branches. The leaves are fleshy, rigid, narrow, and short. The spikelets are arranged remotely. Their habit is reminiscent of species in the L. proliferum group, as is their chromosome complement. For example, L. ikaricum is apomictic with a chromosome complement of 2n = 42. The species of this group occur in Crete ( L. elephonisicum and L. chersonesum ), Ikaria ( L. ikaricum ), Rhodes ( L. quinnii ) and South Peloponnese ( L. xiliense ).
