Homotypic synonym: — Cestichis exilis (J.J.Sm.) M.A.Clem. & D.L.Jones in Jones & Clements (2005: 39). Type:—Nieuw Guinea ( INDONESIA. New Guinea, Irian Jaya), an der Noordrivier, Spitze des Resirug, 900 m, August 1907, Expedition of Lorentz in 1907., G.M. Versteeg 1665 (lectotype BO 0069930! with original J.J.Smith’s icon, designated here, isolectotypes

BO–744 spir. coll.!, L–0061549!).

Note:—Smith’s noted at herbarium type-sheets that ‘main’ type specimen is that from Bogor and for this reason I designated it as lectotype.
