( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 4 – 7 ; Photo 4)
Material examined: Holotype male labeled: Thailand / Khao Yai N.P. forest / NE Bangkok / 30 XI 1995 R. Cramer // CEHI. The holotype is designated and labelled accordingly.
Diagnosis. This species is easily recognized by the large oval elevations on anterior pronotal lobe, shared only by pachycerus n.sp. It is distinguished from the latter by more slender antennae and the lack of rounded projections of anterior margin of posterior pronotal lobe.
Description. Coloration reddish brown.
Head. Slightly wider than long (28/26); antennae slender 1.86x as long as width of head (52/28), length of antennal segments I/II/III/IV = 14/8/17 /15, ratio segment III/II 2.12; Pronotum. 1.68x as wide as long (64/38), width of anterior lobe 52; lateral margins sinuate at middle, anterolateral angles rounded, surface of posterior lobe smooth and shiny.
Measurements. Holotype male: length 4.35mm; length of antennae 1.3mm; width of abdomen across tergite IV 0.8mm.
Etymology. Referring to Siam, the ancient name of Thailand.
Distribution. The only specimen is recorded from Khao Yai National Park in NE-Thailand
