DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Saudi Arabia,

Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Livingstone, in Southern Province; Mumbwa, in Central Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include Triplochiton scleroxylon K.Schum. (Malvaceae) in Ghana and Theobroma cacao L. ( Sterculiaceae ) and the following Malvaceae species, Cola nitida (Vent.) Schott & Endl. ,

Cola simiarum Sprague ex Brenan & Keay , Cola acuminata (P.Beauv.) Schott & Endl. and Grewia sp. ,

elsewhere in Africa .
