Diagnosis. Cercus ventrally truncated, somewhat protruded ventrad, with a fringe of 5–7 spines on ventral margin ( Fig. 14C,D,F View FIGURE 14 ). Paramere broad, flat, apically sharp in lateral view, ventrosubapically with small, acute projection ( Fig. 14K,L View FIGURE 14 ).
Description (characters commonly seen in L. yangi sp. nov. not repeated) (♂). Head (Pls 2D, 3L, 4L, 6D, 7L): Frontal vitta yellowish brown. Fronto-orbital plate yellowish brown. Ocellar triangle yellowish brown. Occiput medially paler. Arista with 4 dorsal and 1 ventral branches. Supracervical setulae 12¯15 per side; postocular setae 21–25 per side. Clypeus yellowish brown, dark brown on dorsal margin. Cibarium with ca. 22 medial and 17–20 posterior sensilla per side. Prementum pale yellow, with 5 (1 proximal, 1 central, 2 lateral, and 1 distal) pairs of setae.
Thorax (Pl. 2D) yellowish brown. Mesonotum without stripe. Thoracic pleura ventrally paler.
Legs (Pl. 2D, Fig. 14A,B View FIGURE 14 ): Male foreleg with 9–10, 3–4, and 2 transverse sex-combs on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tarsomeres, respectively; each row consisting of 3–4 brown, thick teeth. Foreleg 1 st tarsomere shorter than total length of 4 succeeding tarsomeres. Midleg 1 st tarsomere longer than or as long as total length of 4 succeeding tarsomeres.
Abdomen (Pl. 2D): Tergites without caudal bands.
Male terminalia ( Fig. 14C–L View FIGURE 14 ): Epandrium with ca. 20 long setae per side; ventral lobe somewhat finger-like. Cercus with ca. 18 long setae. Surstylus with a row of ca. 10 prensisetae on caudodorsal margin and ca. 32 recurved setae on ventral portion of inner surface. Gonopods dorsoproximally concaved in lateral view. Aedeagal apodeme longer than aedeagus.
Measurements (in mm): BL = 2.40 in holotype (range in 2♂ paratypes: 2.22̄2.31), ThL = 1.16 (1.12), WL = 3.07 (3.00̄3.03), WW = 1.24 (1.20̄1.21).
Indices: FW/HW = 0.52 (range in 2♂, or less if noted, paratypes: 0.47̄0.49), ch/o = 0.16 (0.20̄0.21), prorb = 0.76 (1♂: 0.90), rcorb = 0.29 (1♂: 0.29), vb = 0.41 (0.38̄0.50), orbito = 0.64 (0.55̄0.70), dcl = 0.64 (0.58̄0.64), sctl = 1.25 (1.25), sterno = 0.47 (0.39̄0.48), dcp = 0.56 (0.47̄0.50), sctlp = 1.22 (1.11̄1.17), C = 3.56 (3.52̄3.61), 4c = 0.67 (0.63̄0.66), 4v = 1.63 (1.56̄1.66), 5x = 1.62 (1.70̄1.90), ac = 2.40 (2.42̄2.56), M = 0.47 (0.47̄0.54), C3F = 0.44 (0.42̄0.48).
Holotype. ♂ (#06041), Mt. Duoxiongla , Linzhi, Xizang, China, 3,500–3,800 m a.s.l., 24.ix.2010, J.J. Gao ( KIZ).
Paratypes. CHINA: 2♂ (#06045, #06047), same data as holotype ( KIZ).
Distribution. China (Xizang).
Etymology. From Latin word “ secula ” (meaning “sickle”), referring to the shape of paramere likes sickle.
