Genus Loxocrepis Eschscholtz, 1929 View in CoL

Loxocrepis obscuritarsis Chaudoir 1879 View in CoL .

New record for Hong Kong. This seemingly scarce species should be expected in Hong Kong as it was described from Myanmar and has also been found in Japan and Taiwan. Specimens were determined from Habu’s description of L. ishigakiensis ( Habu 1971) View in CoL , a junior synonym of this species; the dorsal surface of the genitalia of the Hong Kong specimens is slightly more sculptured than that illustrated by Habu. Material: 1 ex. W.T.L., 11.iv.14; 1 ex. W.T.L., 29.iv.09; 1 ex. W.T.L., 1.v.11; 1 ex. W.T.L., 22.v.11; 2 exx. W.T.L., 1.vii.14; Ƌ W.T.L., 7.viii.14; 1 ex. W.T.L., 12.viii.08; 1 ex. W.T.L., 19.viii.14; 1 ex. W.T.L., 20.viii.13. Biology: Imago found April to August. Can be attracted to light, it is fully winged and capable of flight.

A single specimen slightly smaller than those of Loxocrepis obscuritarsis View in CoL and showing a dorsal coloration perhaps correspond to another species.
