Remarks. Originally described from an unspecified number of specimens from “Bengal; Ranchi (Irvine).”. This species is not a Lygaeosoma but belongs to the genus Aspilocoryphus (although the orificium of one of the syntypes is not really black, but somewhat paler). See also A. fraternus .
