Range: —Northern Peru to Bolivia ( CH, CO, LP, SC) and northwestern Argentina; southeastern Brazil.
Ecology: —Fairly common but local; terrestrial on open hillsides in semideciduous forests; 1050–2400 m.
Notes: —Blades pinnatifid to 2-pinnate-pinnatifid; rhizomes long-creeping; petioles terete, brown to atropurpureous; petiole scales linear; segment margins crenulate. Lytoneuron lomariacea (Klotzsch) Yesilyurt , from
Venezuela to Peru, Paraguay, and southeastern Brazil may occur in Bolivia. It differs from L. crenulans by having continuous (vs. discontinuous) soral lines between the pinna segments.
