Description. Head depressed dorsoventrally, slightly transverse, as wide as pronotum ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ), rostrum almost equal to the width of antennal scape, eyes large but not convex ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ), three ocelli disposed as triangle with median one smaller, maxillary palps with distal three segments elongated and fifth segment widened. Pronotum transverse and pubescent, almost 1.5 times as wide as long, lateral lobes narrow without lateral edge. Forewing short, as long as pronotum, mirror obsolete, lateral field having 7 parallel longitudinal veins. Supra-anal plate simple, in trapezoid shaped ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ). Tympanum oval, on outside of fore tibia only ( Fig. 2D View FIGURE 2 ), 5/9 proximal denticles on hind tibia (outside / inner side), and with 4 pairs of articulated spines, hind basitarsus with 4-5 pairs of dorsal denticles. Abdomen pubescent with cercus long. Genitalia: male genitalia lack ramus and with apodeme principals at an acute angle. Posterolateral epiphallic lobes not widened and without dorsal denticle at or near base of each posterolateral epiphallic lobe. The distal parts of lateral lobes of epiphallus blunt; and the posterolateral epiphallic lobes with a wide cordiform space between them ( Fig. 2E, F, G View FIGURE 2 ).

Female. Similar to male. Forewing very short, triangular in dorsal view ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ). Ovipositor long and straight.

Coloration. Body uniformly brown; legs banded apically ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).

Etymology. The specific epithet dingguo is for the Chinese phonetic alphabet AE国, which is the given name of Chinese national hero 李AE国.

Measurements (in mm). Male: body length (from head to anus) 20.45–21.59, pronotum length 3.19–3.32, forewing length 3.89–3.94, hind femur length 11.67–12.83; Female: body length 18.08–19.31, pronotum length 3.12–3.25, forewing length 1.34–1.44, hind femur length 12.92–13.22, ovipositor length 13.03–14.68.
