Type material. Holotype: ♂ ( NWAFU), China: Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province, 22.ix.2020, YNYJ0922 -M01, coll. Weizong Yang. Paratypes: 1♂ ( NWAFU), China: Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province, 22.ix.2020, YNYJ0922 - M02, coll. Weizong Yang ; 1♂ ( NWAFU), China: Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province, 22.ix.2020, YNYJ0922 - M03, coll. Weizong Yang.
Measurements (in mm; n= 3♂♂). Body length: 22.6–24.1; fore wing length: 28.9–29.2; fore wing width: 9.4–9.6; width of head including eyes: 6.2–6.3; pronotum width (including pronotal collar): 7.1–7.2; mesonotum width: 6.1–6.2.
Etymology. The species name is a Latin feminine adjective, meaning “uncinate”, signifying the shape of the aedeagus.
Description of male.
Head ( Fig. 2A–D View FIGURE 2 ). Mostly ochraceous, almost equal to width of mesonotum. Eyes blackish brown; ocelli yellowish brown, enclosed by blackish ochraceous fascia. Epicranium brown with thin black patches, extend to edge of ocelli. Postclypeus protruding, yellowish brown. Lorum with interior corner black.
Thorax ( Fig. 2A–D View FIGURE 2 ). Pronotum longer than head, dorsally ochraceous with comma shaped symmetrical black spot posterior to each paramedian fissure and close to the pronotal collar; pronotal collar generally ochraceous, lateral angle slightly fuscous, lateral margin without small tooth. Mesonotum ochraceous with brownish submedian sigilla; pair of fasciae through parapsidal suture which broadens at the base, adjacent to pronotal collar; an oblong black spot located in the middle of mesonotum; pair of black round spots surrounds scutal depression. Wing groove ochraceous with blackish ochraceous spot connected with cruciform elevation. Legs yellowish brown without fuscous patches at the joints of trochanter, femur and tibia.
Wings ( Fig. 2A–D View FIGURE 2 ). Hyaline, forewing without fuscous infuscation. Basal membrane of fore wing and hindwing jugum tinged with light-brown.
Abdomen ( Fig. 2A–D View FIGURE 2 ). Mostly ochraceous, longer than distance from head to cruciform elevation, widest across abdominal segment 3 or 4. Tergites 2–8 with dark brown markings on posterior and lateral margins. Timbal covers ochraceous with silvery pubescence on posterior margins. Opercula tawny, triangular in shape, seperated from each other at base, with apex broadly rounded, reaching or slightly exceeding posterior margin of abdominal sternite II.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 2E–G View FIGURE 2 ). Pygofer ochraceous, elliptical in ventral view. Dorsal beak short. Anal style and anal tube pale brown. Upper lobes of pygofer fold ventrally, which turns brown gradually at the protruded distal shoulder. Basal lobes of pygofer rudimentary. Median uncal lobes flat. Aedeagus uncinate, inwardly curved in lateral view.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Diagnosis. This new species is similar to M. lenonia , but it can be distinguished from the latter by the following characteristics: timbal covers ochraceous without markings (anterior part of timbal covers black and posterior part of timbal covers white in M. lenonia ); lorum with corner black (lorum without black spots in M. lenonia ); aedeagus uncinate inwardly curved in lateral view (aedeagus tube-like with tapered end in M. lenonia ). This new species can be distinguished from other species of this genus by the following characteristics: forewing without infuscations (forewing with prominent infuscations in M. kama , M. rama , M. ruffordii and M. meghalayana ); timbal covers without markings (timbal covers with white spot covered with white wax powder in the lateral part in M. kama , timbal covers with markings laterally in M. rama , timbal covers with an anterior angular black spot and overlaid with white wax powder at the posterior part in M. ruffordii , and timbal covers overlaid with white wax powder at the lateral posterior part in M. meghalayana ).
