Remark. According to Article 32.5.2.1 ( International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature 1999), the correct spelling of Mericserica oberthu ̈ri (see Brenske, 1899a *: 321) is Mericserica oberthueri , not M. oberthuri (as in Ahrens 2004a and Ahrens & Fabrizi 2016).
