Material examined. Holotype. 3. MYANMAR, N.E. Burma, Kambaiti, 7000 ft., 11.V. 1934, Malaise (in MZH).
Description. 3. Head. Palp and other mouthparts brownish, face yellow, posterior parts of head brown. Antenna brownish, scape, pedicel and base of 1st flagellomere yellow. Length of 1st flagellomere about 1.5x, 2nd flagellomere 1.2x, its width. Thorax. Pronotum yellow, with 4 long setae. Scutum subshining, brown, anterolaterally paler brownish. Anepisternum yellow. Preepisternum brownish, ventral half brown. Scutellum brownish, with 4 long setae. Laterotergite brownish, ventral part brown. Mediotergite brown, bare. Wing. Length 4.9 mm. Wing hyaline, apically very slightly infuscate. Sc ending in C distad of middle of small cell, Sc2 ending in R1 near middle of small cell. Apical part of Sc bearing 25 small setae. Small cell about 2.5 times as long as wide. Cu fork distinctly proximal to M fork. M ratios: 0.46, 0.53. Cu ratios: 0.59, 0.91. Small setae: M petiole: 0; M1: +; M2: +; Cu petiole: +; Cu1: +; Cu2: +. Halter pale yellowish. Legs. Coxae and femora yellow, tibiae and tarsi brownish to brown. Coxa 2 without spur. Leg ratios: bt1:t1 = 0.92, bt2:t2 = 0.71, bt3:t3 = 0.66. Abdomen. Tergites 1–4 brown, with wide yellow posterior margins, 5–7 brownish to brown. Sternites 1–3 yellow, 4 yellow with brownish lateral margins, 5–7 brown with yellow middle line. Hypopygium. Figs. 9 View FIGURE 9 A–B and 10A–D, yellow. Tergite 9 with 2 pairs of large, setose lateral appendages and complex medial structures ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A). Sternal lateral appendage very long, relatively wide, setose ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 B). Gonostylus with 2 long, slender branches, medial branch with 3 apical teeth ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 B). Aedeagus long. Tergite 8 bare ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 C). Sternite 8 large with many subapical setae ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 D).
Etymology. The species is named after its type locality.
