All VM.
Remarks. Apparently common throughout France (except the northwest?) and on Corsica on Acer campestre and A. platanoides , on which it is the only Stigmella species. Leraut (2003) also records it from the introduced Acer ginnala . All records of S. speciosa on these Acer species are misidentifications for aceris . The larva is green in contrast to the yellow larva of S. speciosa .
