Nevadesmus hubbsi (Chamberlin) View in CoL , new combination
Tidesmus hubbsi Chamberlin, 1943:36 View in CoL , fig. 4. Chamberlin & Hoffman, 1958:74 (list). Shear & Shelley, 2007:63, figs. 22–24.
Remarks: Shear & Shelley explained why hubbsi could not be congeneric with Tidesmus episcopus Chamberlin, 1943 , the type species of Tidesmus . Repeated collecting efforts have failed to turn up male specimens, but the close resemblance between females of N. hubbsi and N. ophimontis makes it highly likely that they are congeneric. The type locality of this species is Cave Valley Cave, in northern Lincoln Co., Nevada (see Fig. 25 View FIGURES 25 – 29 in Shear & Shelley 2007).
