Type:— SURINAME: Pará, eastern region, [1849–1855], H. R. Wullschlägel 1585 (lectotype, designated here: BR barcode BR0000006572846 !; isolectotype GOET barcode GOET008615 View Materials !) .
Notes: —Cogniaux (1904) described N. durandia based on the collection of Wullschlägel 1585, indicating the BR and GOET herbaria as where the deposits were made, though without indicating the holotype, thus making them syntypes. Therefore, the BR sample is designated here as a lectotype.
