Type:— BRAZIL. Minas Gerais: Caldas, 12 February 1874, A. F. Regnell III.1167 (lectotype, designated here: S S07-7875 !; isolectotype: P barcode P00456005 !) .
Notes: —Barbosa Rodrigues (1881) described N. nemorosa without indicating a holotype. Based on the information of the collector’s protologue and collection number, two samples were located in the collections of S and P. Sample S 07- 7875 is designated here as a lectotype and sample P 00456005 as an isolectotype. Samples S S 06-11115, S S 07-7874, and BR barcode BR 0000006572198 were excluded as type specimen materials because they did not have information regarding the date that was compatible with the protologue. There is also an illustration of the plant published by the author (1996: 431, t. 303, Figure C!).
