Type material. Holotype (): Quebrada Segunda Ref. Nac. Fauna Silv. Tapanti, 1250 m, Prov. Cartago, Costa Rica, G. Mora, mar 1992, LN 194000, 560000// 741269 ( INBio).
Derivation of name. From condylus (Greek= knuckle, knob, protuberance) for the humeral prominences.
Diagnosis. This species is easily distinguished from all other Ocnosispa by the knoblike humeral protuberances, the angulate frons, and the two longitudinal vittae on the pronotum.
1 2 Description. Yellowish-brown; pronotum with two longitudinal vittae; elytra with diffuse brownish markings. Head: vertex with faint medial sulcus, sparsely punctate; small protuberance present near base of antennae; frons angulate in middle. Antenna: antennomere I subglobose; II transverse; III-IV cylindrical, III largest; V-X transverse, VII-X longer than preceding; XI bluntly pointed at apex; VIII-XI setose; I-VII with scattered setae. Pronotum: lateral margin sinuate, parallel for basal 3/4, then convergent; each anterior angle with large blunt tooth; disc convex; surface covered with large coarse punctures; medial longitudinal callus present; moderate basal transverse impression present; pronotal length 1.6 mm; pronotal width 2.1 mm. Scutellum: small; quadrate; smooth. Elytron: expanding; widest just behind middle, then converging toward apex; lateral margin smooth; apical margin smooth; exterior apical angle produced, with small blunt tooth; humerus triangularly expanded into backwardly pointing knob; with 10 rows of punctures plus short scutellar row at base, with 2 additional rows of punctures between rows 5 and 6 at widest point; interspace 2 costate for entire length, 4 costate on apical half, 6 and 8 costate on apical fourth; elytral length 7.6 mm; elytral width 5.3 mm. Venter: prosternum entirely yellowishbrown, smooth medially, punctate laterally; mesosternum smooth medially, punctate and black laterally; metasternum entirely smooth, lateral margin black. Total length: 9.6 mm.
