Figures 6 View FIGURE 6 A–D
Ctenus vernalis Bryant 1940: 383 , figs 150, 156, 158 (male holotype and female allotype from Soledad, Granma, Cuba, 1925, Salt & Myers, deposited in MCZ 23478 and 26256, respectively; a female paratype with the same data as holotype, deposited in MCZ 26257; a female paratype from San Antonio de Los Baños, La Habana, Cuba, 21.III.1915, Barbour & Brooks, deposited in MCZ 26258; a male paratype from Soledad, Granma, Cuba, 13.VIII.1931, Worley, deposited in MCZ 26259, examined).
Diagnosis. Males of Ohvida vernalis resemble those of O. brevitarsus by the shape of RTA and median apophysis, but can be distinguished by the shorter retrodorsal apophysis of the cymbium ( Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 A–B). Females of Ohvida vernalis resemble those of O. brevitarsus by the morphology of the median plate and the round head of spermathecae, but can be distinguished by the smaller size of the median plate ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 C).
