Description of Ornithinimicrobium murale KHS 04
Cells are Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular and cream-colored after 3 days on NA at 25°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and βgalactosidase in API 20NE but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase. D-Glucose, D-mannitol, D-mannose, D-maltose and citrate are utilized. Does not utilize L-arabinose, N-acetyl-glucosamine, gluconate, caprate, adipate, malate and phenylacetate. Strain KHS04 (= NIBRBA0000114950) has been isolated from gut of Todarodes pacificus , Korea.
