Distribution. Japan * (Honshu) and China.

Bionomics. Unknown in Japan. In China, Semanotus bifasciatus (Motschulsky, 1857) ( Coleoptera , Cerambycidae ) is recorded as the host (Sheng & Sun, 2014).

Remarks. This is the first record of this species from Japan.
