CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Campiglossa grandinata ( Foote 1984: 74, White 1986: 160, Korneyev 1990: 450, Merz 1994: 47, Belcari et al. 1995b: 10, Norrbom et al. 1999: 110).
REMARKS: Rondani (1870c: 131) described Oxyna grandinata without specifying the number, the sex or the length of the specimens, from material he had collected and also received from A. Garbiglietti, treating it within the subgenus Campiglossa Rondani, 1870 . Korneyev (1990: 450) designated a lectotype (♀) and paralectotypes (2 ♀♀). Morge (1959b: 90) listed this nominal species under the generic name Scopicera, which O’Hara et al. (2011: 200) considered as an “unavailable name; treated under Oxyna Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 ”.
