Distribution. Nearctic, recorded from A/S ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: AB, BC, LB, NB, NF, NS, NT, ON, QC, SK, YT. USA: AK, NH.
Collection and Habitat data. In NH found in the alpine area of the Presidential Range in birch litter, spruce litter, spruce/willow litter, dwarf Betula litter, birch/fir litter, and Vaccinium , dwarf Betula , leatherleaf litter near lake. Adults found from June to September. In AK captured in gravel bars, mature forest, forest edge with Populus tremuloides and P. balsamifera . and in meadow and heath shrublands. In Canada taken in coniferous and deciduous old-growth and 2 nd growth forests and their associated leaf litters; occurring in subalpine and alpine habitats ( Klimaszewski et al. 2006, 2021).

Washington, Alpine Garden, 18.VI.1982, sift fir, spruce, & willow litter, 1 male; 11.IX.1981, D.S. Chandler, sift spruce litter, 5 males, 5 females. Mt. Washington, Alpine Garden, 5300’, 12.IX.1987, J.M. Campbell and A. Davies, sifting dwarf Betula litter ( CNC), 2 sex? Mt. Washington, Halfway House, 18.VI.1982, sift birch & fir litter 3 females; 7.VIII.1982, D.S. Chandler, sift birch & fir litter, 3 females. Mt. Monroe, around Lakes of the Clouds, 5000–5100’, 10.IX.1987, J.M. Campbell and A. Davies, Vaccinium , dwarf Betula , leatherleaf litter near lake ( CNC), 1 female.
