Pagastiella Brundin, 1949 View in CoL
There are two described species of Pagastiella , one from the Nearctic, Pagastiella ostansa Webb, 1969 , and from the Palaearctic, Pagastiella orophila (Edwards, 1929) . Epler (2001) suggested they are the same species. We collected larvae of Pagastiella from a small lake on Prince of Wales Island and 12 other unnamed lakes in the Southeastern bioregion. Kaufman et al. (2012) found unknown larvae in sediment core samples from Lone Spruce Pond in Southwestern bioregion. Pagastiella larvae occur in littoral to sublittoral lake sediments ( Epler et al. 2013).
