Parapercis multiplicata Randall 1984 —Redbarred sandperch

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed at St. KVG14 (Kavieng District) by Serge Andréfouët on 16 Aug. 2014; a video of a specimen taken at Nubilus Island , off eastern New Hanover , at 3–32 m depth, St. KR 88, in 2014.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to to Pitcairn Island, north to Taiwan, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Solitary or in small groups, on sand-rubble bottoms near coral reefs, 4–40 m depth. Marine.
