8. Phlugiolopsis digitusis View in CoL sp. nov.
(Map. 1, Figs. 9 View FIGURE 9 , 13 View FIGURE 13 : E–F)
Male. Body small. Fastigium verticis conical, apex obtuse, furrowed in midline. Eyes subglobular, protruding forwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi as long as subapical one, apex slightly widened.
Pronotum short, anterior margin straight, posterior margin obtusely rounded, protruding backwards; lateral lobe longer than high, without humeral sinus.
Ventral margin of whole femora without spines on ventral margin. Procoxa with a small spine; protibia with 4 spines on internal side, 5 spines on external side and a pair of ventral apical spurs; tibial tympana open on internal and external sides, oval. Mesotibia with 4 and 5 spines on inner and outer sides of ventral margin, and a pair of ventral apical spurs. Genicular lobes of postfemur obtusely rounded, posttibia with 25–27 pairs of spines and a pair of apical spurs on dorsal margin, ventral margin with 2–3 pairs of spines and 2 pairs of spurs.
Tegmina short, slightly surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, reaching the middle area of third abdominal tergite. Hind wings absent.
Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite slightly broad, faintly concave in middle. Basal half of cerci stout, interno-dorsal margin with a broad and flat lobe, the subbasal area with a small buninoid process; dorsal margin of middle area with a short triangular lobe, apex obtuse; apical half slender, slightly compressed, thin, squarely incurved, apex slightly pointed. Subgenital plate subtrapezoid, basal area with deep, nearly triangular middle incision; lateral margins curved dorsad, posterior margin slightly concave; with subconical styli on ventral margin of subapex, the apices obtusely rounded.
Female. Similar to male appearance, slightly larger. Posterior margin of eighth abdominal tergite obviously concave, lateral margin with 1 digitate process, protruding backwards; ninth abdominal tergite faintly broad, lateral area slightly expanded; tenth abdominal tergite short and small. Epiproct triangular. Cerci stout, conical, apices acute. Ovipositor gently curved upwards, base stout, narrowing, apices of dorsal valvulae acute, ventral ones with a small terminal hook. Subgenital plate obviously broad, basal margin slightly concave in middle, baso-lateral margin expanded, auriculate, slightly curved ventrad; subgenital plate furrowed in midline; posterior margin with shallowlly concavity in middle.
Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Scape and pedicel of antenna light brown. Dorsum of head with 4 black brown stripes. Eyes brown. Pronotal disc with a brown stripe in middle, widened in metazona. Apices of femora and tibiae, and tarsi light brown. Abdominal sternites black brown. Male subgenital plate black brown, female subgenital plate brown.
Type material. Holotype: male, Adebo, Jinping, Yunnan, 24 July 2006, collected by Hao-Yu Liu. Paratypes: 2 males and 3 females, other data as the holotype.
Measurements (mm). Body: 36.4–7.5, Ƥ8.2–8.4; pronotum: 33.1–3.3, Ƥ3.5–3.7; tegmen: 31.6–1.8, Ƥ1.8–2.1; postfemur: 37.1–7.8, Ƥ8.7–8.9; ovipositor: 5.3–5.9.
Remarks. The new species resembles Phlugiolopsis brevis Xia & Liu, 1993 and Phlugiolopsis tuberculata Xia & Liu, 1993 , but differs from them in: basal area of male cerci with 1 small buninoid process on interno-dorsal margin, middle area with a short triangular lobe, the apex obtuse; eighth abdominal tergite of female with 1 digitate process on lateral margin, which protruding backwards; female subgenital plate obviously broad, baso-lateral margin expanded, auriculate.
Etymology. The name of the new species derived from the eighth abdominal tergite of female with 1 digitate process on lateral margin.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
