Distribution: Brazil: Paraná; Cuba.
New record for Brazil and for the Paraná State.
Comments: This species is currently considered as a junior synonym of P. chrysopa , but we follow here the proposition of Dr. H. Braun that suggested on the OSF database ( Cigliano et al. 2022) that P. virens should be considered as a valid species. The subgenital plates of males figured here, although similar to P. chrysopa , present a much more restricted terminal dilation, resembling a golf club head. The syntypes of P. chrysopa , otherwise, present terminal dilations that are much longer and wider, resembling a spatula.
