Holotype: ♂. MEXICO: Oaxaca, La Ventosa, 26 mi N, 19/VII/1963. Col. J. Doyen. Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved; genitalia glued on a triangle. Additional notes: The current name of this species is Paraplateros guardadoae (Zaragoza-Caballero, 1999) (see Kazantzev, 2011).
