Plistonax senecauxi Tavakilian & Néouze, 2013 View in CoL ( Fig. 10g View Fig )
Plistonax senecauxi Tavakilian and Néouze (2013): 48 View in CoL , figs. 12–13; Morvan and Roguet (2014): 20 (distr.); Monné (2021) (cat).
Type locality: holotype (male) – French Guiana, Route de Kaw , Pk-36 ( MNHN) ( Fig. 10g View Fig ) .
Diagnosis. Elytra with one pair of distinct white stains in shape of bow, starting from base with slight concavity at median region ( Fig. 10g View Fig ). Transversal dark stains on elytral slope slightly oblique ( Fig. 10g View Fig ).
Distribution. French Guiana (Fig. S4d).
Remarks. The diagnostic features of this species are in the elytral pubescence pattern, mainly in the pair of white stains, which Tavakilian and Néouze (2013) described as “forme de lyre” (shape of lyre). Similarly to the condition found in P. albolinitus , P. antonkozlovi , and P. inopinatus , this species has tubercles on the inner surface of male antennomeres. P. senecauxi is known only from French Guiana.
