Range: — Bolivia (LP, SC); southeastern Brazil and eastern Paraguay.
Ecology: —Rare, known from five Bolivian collections; saxicolous and epiphytic in semihumid forests; 700–1750 m.
Notes: —Differs from S. latissimum by its acuminate (vs. rounded) rhizome scales.
