Regional distribution. We include thiS SpecieS into our check-liSt on the baSiS of two SampleS kept in ZIN: 1) Onon RiVer baSin, TSagaan Nuur Lake (23.08.1987, leg. A. Dulmaa, det. Ya. StarobogatoV); 2) “VicinitieS of Ulanbaatar ” (06.1997; leg. Yu. MaruSik, det. L. ProzoroVa). Polypylis sibirica haS hitherto not been reported from Mongolia.
Extra-limital distribution. P. sibirica iS known to inhabit waterbodieS located around the Baikal Lake (ProzoroVa et al. 2009).
Morphology. SpecimenS of P. sibirica collected in Mongolia are morphologically identical to indiVidualS of thiS SpecieS from Siberia deScribed by StarobogatoV & Streletzkaja (1967).
