WL: 25mm. P. pelarga is common in different types of forest, as well as in Guinea savanna . It also exhibits seasonal dimorphism: the dry season forms have more curved forewings and bluish-white bands on the recto, while the wet season forms have orange-white bands above. The species ranges from Senegal to Angola, DRC, western Kenya and Ethiopia . The host-plants are not precisely known, but in the Ivory Coast caterpillars were bred on S olenostemon rotundifolius and Coleus sp., and they probably also feed on other Lamiaceae .
