Remarks.

The range of P. pacifica is here expanded to one hydrocarbon seep (Quepos Seep) and one organic fall at the CRM (Mound 11). Their occurrence here on Bathymodiolin mussels represents the first time they have been observed as, potentially, permanent denizens of a hydrocarbon seep environment. Their distribution now includes the Oregon Margin, the Costa Rica Margin, and the Gulf of Panama between 1017-2750 m depth (Table 4 ).
