SUBGENUS PSEUDOSELINUS IWAN, 2002 A, STAT. NOV.
Type species: Eurynotus punctatostriatus Gerstaecker, 1854 ; by original designation.
Diagnostic characters: Pseudoselinus stat. nov. is distinguished from all Platynotina by having a longitudinal sclerite in the bursa copulatrix. Moreover, it is separated from the subgenus Upembarus by having the upper edge of its elytral base fused with the humerus (cf. Kamin´ ski, 2013c) and a bordered fifth abdominal ventrite.
Distribution: Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Zambia.
Species composition (four species): Pseudoselinus basilewskyi Koch, 1956 , Pseudoselinus punctatostriatus ( Gerstaecker, 1854) , Pseudoselinus raposoi (Koch, 1956) , Pseudoselinus zambiaiensis ( Iwan & Robiche, 2006) .
