Range: —Endemic, known only from the type collection in Bolivia (LP).

Ecology: —Rare (known from a single collection); in wet forests of the Bolivian Yungas; ca. 1850 m.

Notes: —For additional commentary, see Smith & Prado (2004). Blades 2-pinnate-pinnatifid; proximal pinnae pedicellate, the pedicels ca. 0.5 cm long, not winged; venation copiously areolate, with 4 or 5 areoles adjoining costae between two adjacent costules; awns absent on costae adaxially.
