( Figs 26–31 View FIGURES 26–31 )

Diagnosis. Similar to P. mirandaensis (García Aldrete) , differing from it by the distally acuminate and short median projection of the central sclerite of the hypandrium, posterior side sclerites with long outer corners extended anteriorly ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 26–31 ), it also differs from P. mirandaensis in the shape of the endophallic sclerites ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 26–31 ).

Color. Body brown, with light brown spots. Head brown ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 26–31 ) with two ochre bands from the inner border of each compound eye to the epistomal sulcus, enclosing the antennal fossae. Compound eyes dark brown, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Vertex pale brown, with lateral and central brown spots. Postclypeus with brown V-shaped area, light brown mesally. Anteclypeus and labrum pale brown. Genae brown, postgenae light brown with white area. Antennae: scape and pedicel light brown, flagellomeres pale brown, with apices cream. Maxillary palps light brown, Mx4 dark brown. Tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax dark brown. Thoracic pleura light brown, with ochre spots. Legs: coxae, trochanters and femora light brown, coxae and trochanters with ochre spots, femora light brown medially; tibiae and tarsi pale brown, tibiae with dark brown areolae in setal insertions. Wings hyaline, forewing pterostigma dark brown, with hyaline area in the middle; a pale brown marginal band from R4+5 to distal half of 1A, with hyaline fenestrae on each side of vein ends. Hindwings veins brown. Abdomen light brown. Clunium pale brown. Sclerites of hypandrium light brown; phallosome dark brown. Epiproct and paraprocts light brown.

Morphology. Head ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 26–31 ) H/MxW: 1.51; large compound eyes, H/d: 3.27; IO/MxW: 0.69; vertex slightly below the level of the upper border of the compound eyes; outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with seven denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.19. Forewings ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26–31 ) L/W: 2.71; pterostigma: lp/wp: 5.38, elongate, wider in the middle; M five-six-branched, M5 or M6 forked; areola postica: la/ha: 1.58, tall, wide, apically rounded. Hindwings ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 26–31 ) l/w: 2.98;M four-branched. Hypandrium of five sclerites ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 26–31 ), central sclerite with a short, basally wide and distally acuminate median projection, with tufts of long macrosetae on each side; posterior side sclerites with outer corner long, curved back, posterior process long, acuminate, slightly curved outwards. Phallosome ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 26–31 ) Vshaped anteriorly, side struts wide basally; external parameres elongate, with rounded apices, bearing small pores and short teeth on internal margin. Five endophallic sclerites. Anterior endophallic sclerites elongated, divergent, tapered apically and curved inward; lateral endophallic sclerites with dilated distal area, internal margins convex, bearing a row of teeth. Mesal sclerite tranverse, rhomboid, mesal sclerite processes elongate, basally widened, curved outward distally, blunt apically; Paraprocts ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 26–31 ) oval, setae and spicules as illustrated; sensory fields with 23 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 26–31 ) anteriorly convex, posteriorly rounded, with microspicules on basal field, with setae as illustrated.
