Ptiloneuropsis immaculata Roesler, 1940 View in CoL
( Figs 1–3 View FIGURE 1 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 )
Ptiloneuropsis immaculata Roesler, 1940: 236 View in CoL ; Gaedike, 1970: 5 /6 (type destroyed); Lienhard & Smithers, 2002: 122 (catalogue); García Aldrete, 2004: 146 (neotype designation); Casasola Gonzalez, 2006: 1194 (phylogeny); García Aldrete & Mockford, 2009: 667 (species list); Silva-Neto et al. 2018: 569 (taxonomy).
Update diagnosis based on the neotype. Hypandrium trapeziform, posteriorly almost straight, with sinuous sides, heavily sclerotized laterally, mesally with a protuberance ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ); mesal sclerite of the phallosome anteriorly concave, with an area projected behind, generating a hollow area, like a shell; posteriorly divided into two symmetrical areas, each anteriorly strongly projected, almost triangular, posteriorly with two blunt lateral projections and in the middle with a groove generating a small, almost triangular projection; external parameres proximally stout, almost triangular, narrowing posteriorly, bearing pores on distal region, distally curving outwards; three pairs of endophallic sclerites, a antero mesal pair club-shaped with ends almost together in the middle of endophallus, a posterior mesal pair, shaped like the distal part of a golf club, partially inserted into the pair of posterior lateral sclerite, the latter hollow in the middle like a shell, covered with spines ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ).
