Type locality. Germany (“Habitat in Germania. Dom. de Hattorf”).
Material examined. None.
Identity. A synonym of Epinotia trigonella ( Linnaeus, 1758) ( Olethreutinae , Eucosmini ) ( Robinson and Nielsen 1983).
Remarks. Pyralis stroemiana was synonymized with Phalaena (Tortrix) trigonella L. by Robinson and Nielsen (1983: 234).
