Pythamus hainanensis sp. n. ( Figs 1–10 )

Description. Body length (including forewing): ♂, 6.2 mm. Crown ( Figs 1, 3 ) with off-white markings on lateral carina and submarginal carina. Median longitudinal carina of frontoclypeus lamellate in upper half ( Figs 3, 5 ). Forewing ( Figs 1, 2 ) brown and translucent, marked with dark chocolate brown stripes in middle and end part, and two white semicircular spots in outer and inner margin respectively.

Male pygofer ( Fig. 9 ) posteriorly narrowed along caudo-ventral margin. Pygofer ventral process ( Fig. 10 ) rather straight, slightly shorter than pygofer, with about 3 toothed processes distally. Aedeagus ( Figs 6, 7 ) with bilobed apodeme arising from atrium and extended dorsolaterad; shaft long, apex hooked, subapex with a pair of lateral processes, like an arrow in ventral view; gonopore apical. Style ( Fig. 7 ), with footlike apex of apophysis having elongated lateral angle, apodeme apex rounded. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 8 ) elongate.

Type material. Holotype: ♂ ( NWAFU), China, Hainan Province, Diaoluoshan, 18°40.440′N 109°52.600′E, 494 m, 10.viii.2010, Guo Zheng.

Remarks. This species is very similar to Pythamus rufus sp. n. externally, but is easily distinguishable by the characters mentioned in the key.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the type locality.
