Rhacopus bodemeyeri ( Olexa, 1962)
Distribution in Iran. Tehran (Type locality: Mt. Elbourz) ( Olexa 1962).
General distribution. Endemic to Iran.
Remark. The identity and generic level placement of this taxon remains uncertain. Olexa (1975) proposed a new subgenus Pseudorhacopus Olexa, 1975 within the genus Rhacopus for Dirrhagus ferrugineus Reitter, 1889 (type species) and Dirrhagus bodemeyeri Olexa, 1962 . Subsequently, the type species of the subgenus was transferred to Dirrhagofarsus Fleutiaux, 1935 , and the name Pseudorhacopus was synonymized with the latter ( Kovalev 2016). It is likely that D. bodemeyeri may also belong to Dirrhagofarsus (see also Kovalev, 2016; Muona, 2023), but here we maintain the classification proposed by Olexa (1975) until examination of the type material of D. bodemeyeri is made possible.
