Figure 1 View FIGURE 1

Description. Male. Body medium. Head and pronotum as other species of the genus. Fastigium verticis elongate, dorsal surface with a deep furrow dividing the rostrum into two rostral tubercles, which depressed and not connecting ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ). Fore coxae with 1 spine; femora with 1 short ventral spine on internal margin; tibiae with 1 internal and 2 external spines ventrally, apices with 1 pair of spines on ventral surface. Middle femora with 1 pair of apical spines on ventral surface; tibiae dorsally with 2 pairs of spines, ventral surface with 2 internal spines, apices with 1 pair of spines on dorsal and ventral surfaces separately. Hind femora with 1 short ventral spine on internal margin; tibiae dorsally with 16 internal spines, 19–20 external spines and 1 pair of small subapical spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal and 2 pairs of ventral spines; basitarsi with 2–3 small spines and 1 apical spine on dorsal surface along the midline ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ).

Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite concave. Epiproct narrow; dorsal surface with 1 pair of lateral carinae, which constricted behind middle, and then prolonged to the apex, its tip narrowly angular ( Fig. 1G, H View FIGURE 1 ). Cerci slender, conical. Subgenital plate longer than wide, posterior margin arched; styli roughly conical, about half as long as subgenital plate, its apices obtuse, inserted on posterolateral areas of the plate ( Fig. 1L View FIGURE 1 ).

Female. Unknown.

Coloration. Body brown. Face with large black spots.

Measurements (mm). BL: ♂ 13.35; PL: ♂ 5.87; FFL: ♂ 5.24; MFL: ♂ 5.68; HFL: ♂ 12.70; HBL: ♂ 2.46.

Material examined. Holotype: male, Dajie, Jingdong , Yunnan, July 27, 2023, coll. by Siyu Pang and Ting Luo.

Distribution. Yunnan (Jingdong).

Discussion. The new species differs from Rhaphidophora xishuang Gorochov, 2012 by male epiproct narrow, the lateral carinae of dorsal surface constricted behind middle and then prolonged to the apex, its tip narrowly angular ( Fig. 1G View FIGURE 1 ). While lateral carinae of male epiproct in the latter species without constricted ( Lu et al., 2022: Fig. 17E).

Etymology. The new species is named for the male epiproct narrow; from Latin word “ angust ”.
