Rhotana inorata Yang & Wu, 1993 View in CoL
Rhotana inorata Yang & Wu, 1993: 192–195 View in CoL , fig. 93
( Figs. 44, 45)
Etymology. As stated by the authors, the species name is a Latin adjective (inoratus, -a, -um = not presented, not pleaded).
Type material. Holotype ♂ (not examined), TAIWAN, Anmashan , Nantou Hsien, 7.VII.1987, S.C. Tsaur ( NCHU).
Distribution. Taiwan.
Diagnosis. The description and illustrations by the authors indicate some similarities to R. latipennis Walker from Borneo and R. maculata Matsumura from Taiwan and Japan. However, it should be easy to recognise this species by the colouration of the forewings and the male aedeagus lacking a pointed process at the end. The immature stages of this species have been described by Yang & Yeh (1996).
