Rhotana obaerata Yang & Wu, 1993 View in CoL
Rhotana obaerata Yang & Wu, 1993: 190 View in CoL , fig. 91
( Figs. 35, 36)
Etymology. As stated by the authors, the species name is a Latin adjective (obaeratus, -a, -um = in debt).
Type material. Holotype ♂ (not examined), TAIWAN, Huesun , Nantou Hsien, 5.IX.1987, S.C. Tsaur ( NCHU).
Distribution. Taiwan
Diagnosis. The description and illustrations by the authors indicate very close similarities to R. formosana Matsumura and R. satsumana Matsumura , both from the same region. The main difference to these species appears to be the ring-shaped mark on the hindwings and the shape of the veins around this mark.
