Type locality. Sa Pa , Lào Cai province ( Vietnam) .
General distribution. Only known from the type locality.
Remarks. In the original description no type was chosen. Therefore, the only studied specimen is regarded as syntype. Syntype in coll Stach at ISEA.

Type species. Cyphoderus distinctus Denis, 1942 .
One species recorded in Vietnam, and some unidentified specimens from Hòa Bình (ThýỢng Tiến natural reserve) (CI: Nguyễn T. T. et al. 2009a).
