Satyrichthys longiceps (Fowler, 1943)

Peristedion longiceps Fowler, 1943: 74 (type locality: Philippines). Satyrichthys longiceps: Kawai, 2008: 26 (listed name only).

Material examined: USNM 99516, holotype of Peristedion longiceps , 155 mm SL, off Tayabas Light (13°46’45’’N, 121°35’8’’E), Marinduque Island and vicinity, Philippines, 347 m, 2 Mar. 1909.

Diagnosis. A species of Satyrichthys with two lip and one chin barbels; no dusky spots on head and body; antrose spines on posterior bony plates of upper lateral row.

Distribution. Philippines.

Remarks. Only known from the holotype collected from the Philippines.
