Material examined. 1 ♀, with two labels: ‘ Nepal Annapurna, Sikles range, 1996, lg. Schmidt’ // ‘upp. Garlang S Sikles, 1900–2500 m, 19/20.4.’ ( SENM) .
The following information was added by J. Schmidt through personal communication: ‘plateau above Garlang village , 28°18'32"N 84°01'08"E’ GoogleMaps .
Comments. This female has the body size (3.27 mm) and general habitus almost identical to that of S. annapurnensis sp. nov., and appears to be conspecific with the new species. Nevertheless, the beetle was collected some 30 km east from the type locality, an association between the two sexes cannot be firmly established at this moment. Compared to the male specimen, the female has shorter antennae and elytra, and there are no modifications on antennae, metaventrite, and legs.
