Distribution. China (Ningxia, Xinjang), North Kazakhstan, Russia (Chitinskaya oblast’). New record for China. This subspecies slightly differs from S. a. artemisiella (Treitschke, 1833) in postvaginal plates that are more strongly curved outwards apically in the female genitalia.
