Semachrysa guangxiensis Yang & Yang, 1991a: 214 View in CoL . Type locality: China (Guangxi, Longzhou ). Holotype in CAU.

Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the presence of the mesonotum with brown markings on prescutum and scutum, the pronotum and metanotum without markings, the forewing with brown shadings, especially on the 4th posterior margin crossveins, the median arch of male gonarcus with small projections, the distal half of entoprocessus wider than basal half, the arcessus widest at middle, and the deep female ventral impression.

Description. Male. Body length 6.5 mm, forewing length 7.5 mm, hindwing length 6.7 mm.

Head with black spots on lateral sides of vertex, gena and between frons and clypeus. Compound eyes prominent and black. Frons with three pairs of black spots on lateral sides and a dark spot at middle. Antennae yellow, scape and pedicel with brown stripe on outer side, wider than flagellum. Clypeal margin with brown stripes. Maxillary and labial palpi with brown stripes on outer side.

Pronotum quadrate and without markings; mesonotum with brown markings on prescutum and scutum, metanotum not marked.

Legs with dense setae, without spots. Pretarsal claws brown, with basal dilation.

Forewing round, with brown shadings on 4th posterior margin crossveins, with pale brown shadings on psm-psc crossveins, CuP and gradate series. Pterostigma indistinct. Costal area with 14–17 crossveins; 8 radial crossveins present. m1 smaller than m2; im ovoid; 7 psm-psc crossveins present. c1 smaller than c2, dcc opened. A1 forked, A2 and A3 simple. Inner gradate series with 4–5 crossveins, outer gradate series with 5 crossveins.

Hindwing narrow, with pale brown shadings on gradate series and forking marginal veins. Costal area with 12–14 crossveins; 7 radial crossveins and 6 psm-psc crossveins present. Inner gradate series with 3 crossveins, outer gradate series with 4 crossveins.

Abdomen with dense setae. Tergum VII and sternum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII shorter than tergum VII; sternum VIII fused with sternum IX; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Gonarcus arcuate, median arch with tiny projections, lateral arms narrow at base and wide at tip; entoprocessus wide, top half wider than bottom half; arcessus widest at middle.

Female. Body length 6.8–7.3 mm, forewing length 8.1–8.6 mm, hindwing length 7.5–7.9 mm.

Sternum VII longer than tergum VII; tergum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII shorter than tergum VII; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Subgenitale broad and bilobed apically; spermatheca thick, vela medium length, ventral impression deep, duct long and coiled.
