Sena donaldsoni marshalli ( Aurivillius, 1901)

Remarks. Dissections of specimens referable to Sena donaldsoni ( Holland, 1897) with minimal barcode divergences from northern Tanzania and MSR revealed near identical male genital configurations and the southern taxon marshalli , previously treated as a form ( Aurivillius 1927), synonym ( Pinhey 1975) and a subspecies ( Vári et al. 2002) of S. donaldsoni , is at most subspecific. The barcoded MSR specimens fell into a BIN (BOLD:ACF5827) containing specimens from South Africa and it is possible that Sena breyeri ( Aurivillius, 1922) is synonymous with marshalli .
